Let’s start from the beginning.

I was born on April 16, 2000, at Colombo North Teaching Hospital (Ragama), Sri Lanka.

Fun Fact: Calculating my age is straightforward.

Within my family, we are a total of four members, including myself, and I have a younger brother.

2006 – 2019: My School Life

My school days were marked by diligent academic performance, although I was not particularly exceptional or popular among my peers. Consistently, I ranked among the top five students in my class.

As I progressed to higher grades, my achievements were not as noteworthy, and I didn’t receive as much recognition.

2020 – 2021: College Life & Dropout

Driven by my childhood passion for computers, I made the decision to pursue a career as a software engineer. Regrettably, this choice did not prove as beneficial as anticipated. After dedicating approximately one year to my studies, I found myself struggling with depression due to various circumstances, ultimately leading to my dropout from college.

Following my dropout from college, I assumed full responsibility for charting my own path in life.

2020: Initial Experience as an Author

Possessing a fervor for content creation, I resolved not to wait until completing my degree to pursue my passion.

On June 20, 2020, I joined the team at androidwedakarayo.com, Sri Lanka’s esteemed technology blog, as a volunteer content writer. To date, I have contributed nearly 30 articles to the platform. Subsequently, I ventured into writing articles for bloggers, enabling me to provide a high-quality service to a broad audience.

2021 – 2022: Self-Directed Learning | Web Development

Initially, I did not possess expertise in web development. I began with a modest position, tasked with inserting product information onto a company website.

As I delved deeper into the field, I focused on honing my skills in developing WordPress websites, surpassing mere drag-and-drop editing. My studies encompassed theme and plugin development. To secure work, I actively pursued sub-orders and direct assignments. Surviving on meager earnings posed its challenges, necessitating perseverance. I also engaged with Sri Lanka’s leading online entrepreneurs by joining their Facebook page. Utilizing Facebook Messenger, I directly communicated with these entrepreneurs regarding their website requirements.

While I managed to secure a few projects, the financial gains were modest. At the time, this did not present significant hardship since I was unmarried and residing with my parents. Nonetheless, an internal drive urged me to seek growth. Dropping out of college had instilled in me a deep fear of an uncertain future. Uncertain about the next steps to take, despite undertaking a few small assignments, the apprehension continued to linger.

2022 – Present: A Turning Point and Current Life

Through persistent outreach efforts, I fortuitously encountered an individual seeking assistance with WordPress projects on their Fiverr account.

Completing several projects for this individual, I subsequently received an invitation to manage their Fiverr account. In this role, I assumed responsibilities for customer handling and project development. Rather than a fixed salary, I was offered a 50% ownership stake in the account, corresponding to 50% of the total revenue generated.

Taking charge of the Fiverr account at Level 1, I dedicated myself to its growth. Within nine months, I successfully elevated it to the top level, earning five-star ratings for all completed orders. Consequently, I now enjoy a stable income stream.

About My Name

I wanted to take a moment to clarify something about the name I have chosen to use for my blog site. As you may have noticed, I go by the name “Daniel Faraday” rather than my real name, Kavishka Nipun. I wanted to provide some context and explain the reasoning behind this decision.

The primary motivation for using a pseudonym like “Daniel Faraday” is to make it easier for everyone to pronounce and remember. While I take great pride in my real name, I understand that it can be a bit challenging for some readers. By opting for a name that is simpler and more familiar, I hope to create a connection with a broader audience and facilitate better communication.

I would like to assure you that “Daniel Faraday” is still me, Kavishka Nipun, behind the scenes. The name change is solely for practical purposes and in no way diminishes the authenticity of my work or my dedication to providing valuable content. I believe that what truly matters is the substance of my writing and the insights I share, rather than the name I use.

I hope this clarification helps you feel more connected and comfortable with my blog. I am grateful for your support and the opportunity to engage with each and every one of you. Should you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out. Thank you for being a part of this journey.

Warm regards, Daniel Faraday (aka Kavishka Nipun)
